D.D.S and Owner of Stanek Dental
Erica grew up in Byron, Minnesota. She attended UW-La Crosse where she played volleyball and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then attended Marquette University School of Dentistry where she received her D.D.S. degree in the spring of 2008. After graduation, Dr. Stanek and her husband Deke moved back to establish roots in the La Crosse area.
In her spare time, Dr. Stanek enjoys spending time with her husband Deke and their three young sons, Lincoln (11), Porter (8), and Britton (6).
Other free time is spent cheering on her husband’s Aquinas High School Wrestling Team, baking, and playing volleyball.
Erica’s passion is helping patients of all ages have a healthy, beautiful smile. She has a kind spirit and a gentle touch. She would love to have the opportunity to meet you and your family, and take care of your dental needs.

Pam McKinnon
Certified Dental Assistant
Pam grew up in La Crescent, Minnesota. After high school she attended Western Technical College where she pursued a degree in dental assisting. She graduated in 1992. She has worked as a dental assistant for 28.5 years, all of which have been in our office.
Pam lives in La Crescent with her husband Bob, and together they have two children Dillon and Paige. She has a 3-year-old granddaughter Hallie Mae. She adores spending time with her family and friends. Her other hobbies include walking, boating, and other activities outdoors.
Pam enjoys every aspect of her job. She feels very lucky to work with such a great group of people each day. She loves being able to help people and make them feel comfortable in our dental office.
Shannon Jennings
Certified & Registered Dental Assistant
Shannon grew up in Eitzen, MN. After graduation from high school she attended Western Technical College. She graduated with her dental assisting degree in 1992. Shortly after graduation she began working at our office for Dr. Richardson. She worked part time at our office for many years but is now with us full time.
Shannon lives in rural Caledonia. Shannon and her late husband Rick have a grown son Kyle, who is engaged and getting married the summer of 2021. In her spare time she enjoys reading, being outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends.
Shannon thoroughly enjoys working in the dental field. A highlight for Shannon is getting to see the excitement on patient faces after we’ve helped them transform their smile into something they are proud of and excited to show off.
Kim Gran
Registered Dental Hygienist
Kim grew up in Holmen, WI. In 1991 she graduated from Western Technical College with a degree in dental assisting. She worked as a dental assistant for two years, before deciding to pursue a degree in dental hygiene. She then went back to school at MATC-Madison for Dental Hygiene and graduated in 1995. She has worked as a dental hygienist for over 25 years, most of which have been with our office.
Kim and her husband Matt live in De Soto. They have two children, Kyle and Kirsten. Their family also includes a daughter-in-law Maggie, two grandsons Jaxon and Taron, one granddaughter Reyna, a chocolate lab named Roxie Mae and a german shepherd/border collie mix named Scarlett Jo. Kim enjoys crafting, especially quilting, boating, sitting around a campfire, reading mysteries and thrillers, decorating, and spending time with her family and friends. She loves animals, especially dogs.
Kim always knew she wanted to work with patients of all ages in the health field, and feels that her career as a dental hygienist has been the perfect way to fulfill that dream.
Desiree Erickson
Registered Dental Hygienist
Desiree grew up in Rushford, MN. In 1990 she graduated from the University of Minnesota-Waseca with a degree in animal health. She was a veterinary technician for 15 years in Winona before deciding to go back to school and pursue a career in dental hygiene.
In 2009 Desiree graduated from Rochester Community and Technical College with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been working as a dental hygienist for 11.5 years now, and has been with our office for ten of those years. The thing she likes most about being a dental hygienist is the fact that each day she gets to meet new people, and use her skills to help them achieve and maintain good oral health, which leads to improved overall health.
Desiree and her husband Dan live in Rushford. They have two grown sons, Reid and Blake. Their family also includes two cats Dax and Rex. When she’s not working, Desiree enjoys fishing, camping, sports, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Kari
Receptionist
Kari grew up in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. After graduating high school, Kari worked as a CNA in a nursing home where she enjoyed working with the older generation, while learning life lessons by listening to their stories and life experiences. Kari attended Western Technical College, where she graduated from the Dental Assistant program in 2015. Kari has worked in different areas of the dental field including chairside assisting, orthodontic treatment, and front office duties. Kari has been an employee for Dr. Stanek since February of 2020.
Kari enjoys spending time with her husband Dustin and her two kids Hadley (6) and Lucy (4). Their family also includes their Doberman, Doc.
In her spare time, Kari enjoys spending her time on the river year-round with her family. Some of her favorite activities on the river are slough riding, camping and enjoying a campfire during summer nights and cold winter days. Kari also enjoys cooking and baking with her two daughters.
